38 weeks pregnant, weird pinching, labour soon?

is this weird pinching feeling my cervix "opening up" or effacing? does it mean things are happening and i could have baby soon?? i havnt been checked yet for dilation or effacing, but im hoping something will happen soon. also have been getting cramps in my stomach( on top of uterus), and around my cervix, with few braxton hicks.
