Eye Problems: Halos around light sources and blurry day vision?

am seeing bright halos around light sources at night and blurryness during the day . This happened only last night and I went to optometrists today, he dilated and said everythig looked healthy, I played basketball outside today like an idiot and noticed my right eye seemed blurry. Now Its dark and I am seeing the halos in both eyes. Anyone had these symptoms before? Should I wait it out or go to the ER keeping in mind our general practicioner said it could just be a effect of the dilation (which was 9 hours ago). Does anyone have any similar experiences, and am I going blind?
